Blogger has introduced this auto pagination thingy which I totally hope they will remove it soon! ):

A short extract from Blogger Buzz:

"Starting today, we're rolling out a change that affects how we paginate webpages on Blogger. We will dynamically adjust how much content to send to the browser depending on (a) the amount of HTML on the page being requested (in kilobytes) and (b) the number of images on the page. Users can continue to use "older posts" and "newer posts" navigation elements to see additional posts."

So after my Phuket Trip Day 1 post, all the previous entries just disappear from the page! Even if I were to click on the archive for 'February 2010', the previous entries still doesn't show up because the super image heavy Phuket Trip Day 1 post has already 'used' up all the entitlement. And this also means that if I want to read back on my past monthly archives, I'll be cut off at a certain point because all my blog posts contains lots of pictures!

Plus, since I'm using the classic html template, I can't seem to add in the "older posts" and "newer posts" navigation buttons as what Blogger kindly suggested! Bummer! ):

Although it's said to make pages load faster, but it's really inconvenient for people like me! Is Blogger seriously trying to drive people away? Guess I'll be migrating to LJ, Wordpress or even Xanga real SOON!

PS: Or does any tech savvy person know how to resolve this?

Phuket with Mashimaro ♥ Day 1 (22 January 2010)

Since I'm resting at home today, shall skip pass the other blog entries and start blogging about our trip instead! You've been warned that this will be a super image-heavy post!

Mashimaro and I had a mini getaway at Phuket last month. We were deciding between Taiwan, Bali, Phuket, and at some point in time, Mashimaro even suggested Haikou! Anyway, we finally decided on Phuket and booked our tickets and hotel a week before flying! Thankfully, it wasn't the peak season for travelling yet!

Flew by Tiger Airways, and it was my first time to the Budget Terminal. And Budget Terminal is really as what the name says, budget.

My sweet Mummy drove us to the airport! ^^

Had to check-in close to 2 hours ahead of departure (Bummer! No such thing as internet check-in!) and since we had lots of time to kill, off to McDonald's for breakfast!

Fluffy rabbit slept at 2.45am the night before because he was busy downloading games for my PSP! So sweet of Mashimaro! ^^

The game UP really kept me entertained throughout the flight!

Went in to the Departure Hall, and there's nothing much to shop at all! There are only foot massagers and computer kiosks for surfing.

Time to board the plane! Wanted to take a picture of Mashimaro walking to the plane but was whisked off by the security guard. I should have learnt from Wendy and be more discrete in my photo-taking!

The seat was seriously too crampy for poor fluffy rabbit! He looks uber squashed up in his seat! I was still doing okay I guess, but definitely could do with more leg room! Thankfully it was just a short 1 hour 35 minutes flight!

Reached Phuket International Airport, and the first word that came into my mind was 'chaotic'! The airport was seriously packed! Plus, we didn't have the slightest clue as to where we should meet Dewa Phuket's staff who will be picking us up!

Thankfully, there was this nice guy who directed us outside and we managed to locate our driver!

Off to our 'home' for the next 3 days, Dewa Phuket! We totally enjoyed our stay there! The only downside was its location though. Dewa Phuket is a mere 5 minutes drive from the airport, but it also means a 30-45 minutes drive to Patong Beach.

Anyway, whilst Mashimaro was busy settling the paperwork, I was busy snapping pictures of the reception area!

They gave us a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival, and many, many thumbs up for their excellent service! The staff are very friendly, and they never fail to greet us with a smile each time they see us! (:

Selection of food choices for our complimentary set lunch and in-villa candle light dinner! We decided to eat both on the same day!

Off to our villa - 107! Simply can't wait to go in, and was keeping my fingers crossed that it won't turn out too different from the pictures on the web. And I'm pleased to say that Dewa Phuket didn't disappoint us at all!

It looks just as nice as on pictures! *lovelove*

The interior of the villa was as nice as well, but the best part is, they have my favourite four poster bed! (:

We took the 'Romantic Retreat Package' from Dewa, and they decorated the bed with flower petals! Pretty, pretty! Such that I really couldn't bear to remove the petals! I almost wanted to ask Mashimaro to sleep on the sofa instead!

Here's our private pool! As seen from the picture, it's really small. Mashimaro swam one stroke and hit the other end already! But then again, the pool is more apt for chilling out, drinking an ice cold beer (for Mashimaro, Coke for me!) or just reading a book by the pool!

The bathroom had an outdoor concept, pretty refreshing for a change, save for the many small insects! Totally love the idea of having 2 sinks at the bathroom cause we won't have to fight over it! By the way Mashimaro, we should seriously consider it for our future home too!

And I chance upon this super cute bean bag that I was so tempted to 'steal' home as a souvenir! Haha! I look damn ugly here but I still want to post this picture up with the beanie!

Took more pictures with the super pretty bed decorations!

Done with taking a zillion pictures of the villa, and decided to drop by the beach for a quick look before lunch!

Nai Yang Beach is relatively quiet, definitely not as crowded nor happening as Phuket's famous Patong Beach. Very peaceful, serene and pretty!

Our stomachs were growling by then, time for lunch at The Lounge. Mashimaro really loves this place! We ate most, if not all of our meals here and each time round, he kept lemming how fantastic it would be if time could come to a standstill then.

The complimentary set lunch comes with 2 side dishes, main course (Thai Fried Rice with Chicken, Prawn, Pork, Beef or Seafood) and dessert!

I've never been a fan of Thai food but again, thumbs up for the yummy food! Very delicious and tasty, but the best part was that it's not overly spicy for me!

Mashimaro was full of praises for their Tom Yum Goong, and kept saying that it was very authentic! As for me, I loved their Beef in Oyster Sauce, super yummlicious!

Time for desserts! The funny thing is, when most of my friends saw this picture from my cammie, the first question that they asked was "Why did they serve chicken wings with ice-cream?"

Lol! It really looks like chicken, but nope, it's Pumpkin Fritter!

Digested our round tummies by talking a stroll around the resort. Besides the pool villas, Dewa Phuket also has these one/two bedrooms condominium styled apartments! There's a pool for serious swimmers with jacuzzi/massage functions!

Headed to The Spa @ Dewa Phuket to book our spa session for the next day!

Dewa Phuket also had this recreation center at the residences area as well, and Mashimaro and I started playing table tennis there! I haven't exercise for ages, and it was definitely a good workout! Needless to say, I was utterly thrashed at the game.

Besides table tennis, there's also a pool table, and you can also rent books/DVDs free of charge! Of course, don't expect the DVD titles to be new releases, but the movies still kept us very entertained throughout! (:

Went back to the villa and spent the next few hours chilling out in the pool. Ultimate shiokness! How I missed those times with Mashimaro at Phuket! ):

And as it grew darker, the surroundings of the villa became even more pretty and romantic! ^^

Had our in-villa candle light dinner at 8pm, and the staff came in to set up the dining table by the pool. Really kudos to Dewa Phuket for creating such a romantic and memorable experience for both of us!

Food was great as usual, but we felt that lunch was better. Guess Thai food instead of Western is still their specialty! I had Seared Fish Fillet whereas Mashimaro had Grilled Chicken Breast. Desserts was kept simple with a fruit platter!

I didn't really like the salad though, still very much prefer my veggies to be cooked.

Food was good, ambiance was great but having Mashimaro's company was the best of all! (: Feels so good just so sit, eat, relax and talk about everything!

But sadly we couldn't sit outdoors for long because we were starting to get quite a couple of uninvited guests! Too many creepy crawlies and I was starting to itch all over! ):

Spent the rest of the night in Mashimaro arms watching telly till it got sooooo comfortable such that I fell asleep 15 minutes into the show! Lol! Stay tune for Day 2, which I hope I have time to blog about it soon! (:

Happy New Year 2010!

Ushered in the new year with a simple celebration with my dearest fluffy rabbit at Park Royal on Beach Road.

It was a last minute decision, and we only booked the room on New Year Eve in the morning! Thanks to James, we managed to get a room at their Orchid Club for 200+ bucks!

Mashimaro came over to pick me up from work and collect my barang barang from home, and off we went! Checked in at the Orchid Club on the 6th floor.

Frankly speaking, for the price that we are paying for the super peak period, I wasn't expecting much. Plus, the exterior of the hotel didn't really look that attractive!

But upon entering the room, I must say that the room is pretty nice and decent! Very clean, cozy and spacious! (:

And the bed is really super comfy! Or maybe I was just plain tired from working!

I love the bathroom! The decor is very simple and minimal, but it gives off a squeaky clean feeling!

Opened one of the drawers, and this is what I saw! Maybe I'm the sua-ku one, but I've never came across any hotel who provides stationeries like these? Like stapler and bullets?

The not-so-nice view from our hotel! The only downside is that the hotel only has 6 stories, and we can't really catch the fireworks! ):

I was really having a case of horrible toothache due to my braces (the price to pay for being vain!) that day and Mashimaro tabao-ed beehoon soup for me for lunch! Totally no mood to eat anything at all!

Ate panadol, rested enough and off we went to explore the other parts of hotel!

Wanted to look at their ballroom, but it was locked, so we went to the pool. The pool is located at the highest storey of the hotel, and they have this little pavilion area which I thought would be a pretty small and nice place for solemnization ceremonies!

Off to the Orchid Club lounge for our complimentary snacks and tea next! Anyway, even though it was just "snacks and tea", it was more like dinner to us cause we ate at 6 plus and all these little snacks turn out to be pretty filling!

And here's some of the food that we ate. The prawn roe sushi was really very, very yummy! Despite the pain, I think I still managed to like swallow 5 of them down!

After our very satisfying 'dinner', took a stroll to Bugis Junction and bought all these yummlicious treats for supper later! Anyway, the Jack n Jill Salmon Sushi Potato Chips is like my favourite though the portion is pathetically little! Please go try it if you haven't! (:

Counted down to 2010 with my dearest Mashimaro by my side! (:

We were so tired that we totally concussed and overslept and totally missed our breakfast the next morning! Off to Clinton's house for our first steamboat (and many more to come) for the new year!

That aside, it was really a pain getting back to work today after the super looooong weekend! The office was eerily quiet, and traffic was really good!

Which explains why I was able to go off at 5.30pm sharp today because the bosses weren't around!

2 more days to go, looking forward to the weekend for more sleep! ):

Zhudidi's 27th Birthday Celebration!

A short update for the day! Celebrated Zhudidi's birthday at Paulaner German Restaurant at Millenia Walk. The place is pretty cozy, ideal for chats or just chilling out!

Here's the food! I can't really remember what we ordered, but judging from the pictures below, it was a super 'carnivorous' meal. There was nothing but meat, meat and more meat! Especially the entire platter of ham, sausage and bacon which we didn't managed to eat much at all! Too much meat and we ate till super gelat!

Plus, the portions are really huge! Think we only ordered 4 mains, but the 6 of us still couldn't finish the food!

Anyway, I just remembered that day was also the day when I put back my braces! It was a super weird feeling though, so used to being 'metal-free' for so many years! And that next day was the start of pain + toothache + headache + ulcers! Thankfully, my braces are much better now already, at least I don't have to rely on popping panadols!

This seems weird, but I felt that the initial period of putting on braces (though it's supposed to be minor adjustments only!) this time round is much more painful compared to the first! Or maybe, it's just that my threshold for pain has been lowered.

Oops! I've digressed too much! Back to my entry proper! Anyway, here's Zhudidi's birthday present! Nah, it's just a toy car alone, we stuffed his angbao money into the box!

Zhudidi worked till super late that day, and even after we finished our dinner, he was still at work! Ended up he only managed to leave office around 10-ish, but by then we had to make a move already.

Sean & Jolene's Wedding Dinner!

Attended my colleague's wedding at InterContinental Singapore! The ballroom was decorated with chic black and hot pink! Jolene's like a big sister to me, always volunteering her help! I don't know Sean's personally, but turns out he's Jive's close buddy! Speak of coincidences!

This is totally random, but I want to rant that parking at Bugis Junction was horrible! Waited close to 20-30 minutes going in rounds at the carpark because it was so difficult to get a lot!

Group picture of my colleagues, together with our distributor, colleagues from regional team, ex-colleagues and even soon-to-be colleagues! Everyone stuck closely to Jolene's dress code of black and pink! But I guess partly is because black seems to be the 'standard' colour code of weddings!

Managed to grab a few pictures of the gorgeous bride when the couple came round for photo taking! Jolene's evening gown is really unique! Instead of choosing darker colors like most evening gowns, she opted for a cream one with pretty flowers!

It has been close to 2 months since her wedding, and am happy to see her enjoying her married life! Especially Sean who's sooo doting and wakes up early to pack her breakfast for work everyday! (:

Anyway, it's sooo depressing to think that the long CNY holiday is ending very soon! Have to wait till April for the next not-so-long weekend! ):

And keeping my fingers crossed that my Bintan trip will materialized soon!

Christmas 2009 with 2nd Row!

Met up with my dearest JC lovelies for our annual must-have Christmas gathering! As usual, Fenjie and I were the earliest!

Prior to the gathering, Weizhong was sms-ing us, asking us to choose between Italian, Spanish, modern European and blah blah blah, and I guess he couldn't have been more irritated with our replies! Fenjie's one was classic! "What's the difference between the choices?" and mine was "Italian means we going Pizza Hut?" Lol!

Anyway, we settled for Don Quijote Spanish Restaurant eventually, after Weizhong claimed that it was highly recommended by his friends.

Thankfully Shan was nice enough to be our 'chauffeur' for that day cause the restaurant's location was super off! Anyway, I should correct the above sentence because technically, it was Weizhong who 'volunteered' Shan to drive us around instead.

And after a looooong journey together with countless screaming, shrieking, flipping of street directory, navigating with google maps and shouts of "turn left!", "turn right!", "die, overshot again!" blah blah blah, we finally made it there!

Needless to say, a big thanks to Shan! She was really brave to drive us there, but even braver to let the mean Weizhong direct her. Haha!

Was freaking hungry by then, but of course we'll still have mood for pictures while waiting for our food to be served! No pictures of the camera shy Cheri!

Couldn't keep our hands off the bread when it was served! Well, I guess partly because we were freaking hungry, and two, the home-made garlic sauce for dipping was super yummy! Cheri almost wanted to ask if they could sell her a bottle of it!

And here's what we ordered! Weizhong's recommendation didn't fail us again as usual. The prawns in garlic sauce was exceptionally yummy!

I'm never a fan of Spanish food, but guess I'll make Don Quijote an exception. Thumbs up! Shall bring Mashimaro there one day too!

Moved on to House @ Dempsey for part 2 of our Christmas celebration!

Started with out gift exchange while waiting for our desserts. Opted for a simpler gift exchange this year instead of the challenging and confusing one that we had last year!

Speakers from Fenjie to Weizhong and vouchers from Weizhong to Cheri! Weizhong was sooo busy that he only had time to grabbed the vouchers minutes before our gathering

Cheri got Jason wooden toys from Muji. Jason's gift to Shan has to be the most practical and thoughtful out of the entire lot! The box contains lots of cute and handy office supplies! No wonder Shan was smiling so happily with her loots!

Got perfume from Shan, and bought Fenjie a necklace from Chomel!

And finally, our desserts came! The desserts are really yummy! Wouldn't mind going there again like a second, third, fourth, fifth etc. time! Highly recommended!

As usual, sweet Weizhong never fail to write us a Christmas card every year, though everyone is complaining that his handwriting is getting more and more difficult to read! Really resembles those scribblings from a doctor's note. And he filled Cheri's card with lots of 'haha, haha'!

Had to leave early as I had a wedding to attend that night!

Really had lots of fun and laughter, they (Jason and Weizhong in particular!) always make me laugh till tummyache, and yet be able to complain/whine/talk about anything under the sun! We don't really meet up as often as we would like due to our busy schedule, but each time we meet, there's always endless stuff to chat about! (:

That aside, it's 14th February today! The first day of the Tiger year, and Valentines Day at the same time too! Hope everyone is off to a great start this year and Happy CNY + Vday to all! (:

Christmas 2009!

Celebrated Christmas this year with Mashimaro's RSCEL clique with a 'boomz' steamboat at Kenny's house! Lots of yummy food especially the super big bowl of my favorite enoki mushrooms!

Anyway, the reason why it a 'boomz' steamboat was because, halfway throughout dinner at 11 plus, Cindy's steamboat literally exploded right in front of us!

There was a blue spark, a loud boom, and the whole house went pitch black. Anyway, we were more or less done with our dinner by then!

Wii is really addictive and seems like a really good choice for group activity!

Time for our gift exchange! Look at all the pretty presents! (:

My Secret Santa was Elaine, and I got a pretty Jill Stuart lip gloss from her. Got a Parker pen and Adidas water bottle for Mark, hope both will come in handy!

And yes, Lynette got a lingerie from Cindy!

The must-have group pictures, but missing out Shirly & Ben who were in Japan! *Envy envy*! Hope I can go Japan someday too!

It was endless rounds of mahjong for the girls after that whereas the guys were busy playing Wii. Mahjong-ed till 6am the next morning, and I concuss immediately as soon as I hit the bed!

It was really a struggle getting out of bed a few hours later for another Christmas session at Eric's place! We were really late cause we really had trouble waking up!

Did another gift exchange as well, but this was more unique cause it was a $10 ridiculous gift exchange! Meaning you had to buy $10 worth of ridiculous gifts - gifts that you typically won't give someone, but the gifts must be practical!

Use mahjong tiles to determine our sequence. Anyway, Photoscape doesn't have a page that distributes 9 pictures evenly, which explains why Zhengling has the biggest shot here! Oops!

Another rule of the game was that if you feel that you wouldn't like your gift, you can actually swoop your gift during your turn without the other party's consensus provided that you did not open your own gift yet!

So technically speaking, the no. 9 person was actually the luckiest cause she could change her gift with anybody!

Puimun got 2 jumbo roll of Scotts toilet paper which she desperately wanted to change cause it was too bulky for her to bring back to the States! Zhengling to the rescue later!

And here's what our $10 ridiculous gifts are! Layhong bought $10 worth of rice and salt (super practical!), Jian bought 3 bottles of hand soap, Clinton bought 2 jumbo rolls of Scotts toilet paper, Charmayne bought instant noodles (lots of people were fighting for that too!), batteries from Zhengling and Puimun, cup warmer from Eric (he bought the present too early before we imposed the ridiculous gift idea rule!), deodorant from Mashimaro and finally, toothbrush and toothpaste set from meee!

See what I said about Wii? The Raving Rabbids game was quite -_-" for some segments but it was still super addictive!

That was how I spent my Christmas for 2009! Simple but fun! Seriously, the hermit me prefer cozy house parties anytime over clubs and countdown parties with huge crowds!

And I went for my first tightening session with Dr Tan on Thursday. Been a month since I put on my braces and thankfully I'm getting more used to it. 3 more sessions to go and I'll be able to remove my braces! Asked Dr Tan if there's any way/possibility that I can remove them earlier, and he looked at me and said "Er, 5 months already very fast you know!"

Haha! Guess I'll just have to be more patient! (:

Christmas 2009 with NUS Peeps!

It's approaching February soon, but here am I blogging about Christmas celebrations! Guess I'm getting busier and lazier to blog.

Had my second Christmas celebration (first was with the Coke girlies!) for 2009 with Mashimaro's NUS clique at Nolboo Hangari Galbi Korean Restaurant at Orchard Central. Besides the variety of dining choices, I don't think there's anything much else at Orchard Central that attracts me.

Anyway, this is totally random, but Orchard Central parking is really sucky. Jojo was cursing and swearing when we went there the day before too!

Decided to do Korean for a change this time round! They served us many refillable small dishes, but I just kept attacking the same one, which was the fried ikan bilis with peanuts! Yummy yummy! I'm totally not a fan of kimchi!

Speaking of which, I really missed the $10 set lunch from the Korean restaurant that I used to frequent with Minx and Jiemin whilst I was still at Springleaf. Brought Mashimaro there once and he loved it too! The BBQ meat is really thumbs up! But it's too far from my current office now! ):

We ordered a couple of main dishes as well, such as kimchi pancake, beef stew, chicken wings, fried rice and more! The red bean dessert with ice cream was good too!

I think we over ordered, but we still managed to polish off everything eventually! It was really a 'table-ful' of food again!

Managed to get a room for the 8 of us (had full attendance that day!), but it got irritatingly hot halfway throughout dinner, because the central air-conditioning was faulty. We even ate in darkness for a while cause we switched off the spotlights to reduce the heat!

After dinner, it was time for our annual Christmas gift exchange!

Started our gift exchange in descending order of age. Zhudidi's the oldest, so he got his gift first. And Mashimaro is Zhudidi's secret santa again! I think they really got a strong affinity with each other! Zhudid got a Parker pen from Mashimaro.

Next was Florence's turn. Got her a Face Shop gift set!

See what I meant by strong affinity? Zhudidi was Mashimaro's secret santa in return! Haha! (: Mashimaro got a boomerang and Huishi got a necklace from Candice!

Berrie got a bag from Pingping, and Pingping got a Body Shop eau de toilett from Huishi!

My secret santa was Florence, and she got me this uber pretty pink Agnes B notebook which I doubt I'll ever bear to use cause it's too pretty! Berrie got Candice a pouch and some moisturizer or cream I think.

Besides the gift exchange, I got some other sweet gifts as well! A pack of yummy treats from Florence, super sweet smelling hand sanitizer from Berrie (love the sweet floral smell!) and chocolates from Candice and Zhudidi! (:

Anyway, it's the start of a brand new week/month again tomorrow! Which means that I'm finally one month down with my braces, with four months more to go! Gotta go for tightening again this Thursday, and I bet it's gonna be another super painful, panadol popping week again after that.

Can't wait for CNY to come soon and enjoy the long holidays! But it's gonna be two crazily busy and packed weeks before CNY! ):

19/12/2009 - A Date To Remember!

Finally blogging about our special day! Haven't gotten the pictures from Alvin yet, will just make do with the not so professional ones taken by my Canon baby.

Even though I was feeling damn nervous and having tonnes of butterflies in my tummy the night before, I still slept like a pig cause I was too tired from work and all the last minute wedding preparations!

Headed over to Di Gio Bridal at 9am to do my makeup. And I'm so glad I managed to book Amanda as my MUA as recommended by most brides to be on Flowerpod. Really love the hairdo and makeup done my super gorgeous MUA!

And, the lovely hand bouquet from Di Gio as well!

Thankfully, the entire ceremony went smoothly with no major hiccups. A big thanks to all who helped us in one way or another!

And with the signing of the marriage certificate, Mrs Chia proclaimed us as husband and wife officially! Anyway, Ah Zhong has been appointed as Mrs Chia's PA!

We took the 5 hour ROM photography package with Alvin, and after the ceremony, we still had about 1.5 hours to spare. Alvin suggested going for an outdoor shoot, but pity the weather wasn't the least cooperative cause it was raining!

Thankfully, the rain got smaller towards the end, and we managed to take a few pictures at Raffles Place area, though our first choice was Hort Park. That aside, the tail of my gown was utterly drenched and it was really a funny sight cause Mashimaro was bending down every now and then to squeeze out the excess water!

Anyway, the photoshoot was quite an experience cause even though it was a Saturday, Raffles Place was still pretty packed and quite alot of people were staring at us!

Headed back to our hotel room, complimentary from Grand Copthorne after the shoot! 4D number anybody?

The room was decent enough I guess. Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel holds special memories for Mashimaro and me cause we celebrated our 1st anniversary there as well! (:

I really, really love my gown from Di Gio, courtesy of Casey! Speaking of which, I haven't written my thank you card yet! Love the material, the purple sash but I love the crystals the most!

Some of my friends actually suggested to me to buy the gown and alter it into a short dress instead! But I still feel that it will be prettier as a long gown though!

Heading out for our early dinner at Ichiban boshi at Great World City cause I was super freaking hungry! Didn't really have time for lunch, plus I was too excited to eat anything!

Back to the hotel room after dinner and the cam-whoring continues!

Got a pleasant surprise when we switched the TV on for Guess 3. The screen flashed something along the line of 'Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lye Chai Yong!'

And I really had a hard time removing all the pins from my hair! Washed with conditioner, shampoo, then conditioner, then shampoo and finally conditioner again before I managed to get rid of all the hair spray.

Because we had our dinner too early, we got hungry again real soon. Decided to try out their room service and ordered some late night snacks. Thumbs up for the yummy bites!

Had breakfast at Cafe Brio the next morning!

Phuket was awesome, but having Mashimaro by my side 24/7 for 3 days straight was even more shioky! The feeling of doing nothing all day long, lazing by the poolside, strolling on the beach is just great! Really enjoyed myself lots! (:

Random Blabberings!

Feeling too lazy to do a proper blog entry, so I'll just post up a picture of my cute toothbrush holder from Mashimaro's sister! It's super cute though it seems kind off weird and out of place in the bathroom!

The funniest thing is, when Mummy saw it, she commented, 'What a cute bear!'

Anyway, I'm pretty stuffed from 2 steamboat sessions over the weekend. And I can't help but rave that Huiling's house is so damn pretty Very simple decorations and colours, but super chic and stylish looking. Can't wait to get a house of our own soon!

And the super irritating thing now is that I have a gigantic ulcer sitting happily on my mouth. Grrr! I hate ulcers, though they seem to love me damn lots!

On a sidenote, it's a 4 day work week for me this week! Looking forward to the long weekend! (:

CPL Annual Dinner & Dance 2009!

Attended my company's Annual Dinner & Dance at Goodwood Park Hotel last month! This year's dinner theme was 'Masquerade Ball' but there weren't much people who dressed up according to the theme, me included!

Anyway, didn't really take alot of pictures as my colleagues aren't really the 'we must take a zillion photos' type. Haha! But here are the few precious pictures we took!

Jolene from Trade Marketing and Feng Yuan from Direct Sales. FY is like 1 out of the 2 guys in our South Asia team, we're pretty much female-dominated!

Coincidentally, most of us were either in black or purple that day!

Jacqueline & Stella from Trade Marketing, together with Idy from Finance. Idy's holding her banquet dinner at the end of this year too! (:

And here's my neighbour, Rachel! Rachel's definitely a hot mama, I seriously can't believe my ears when she told me her age. She still so young but she's already a mother of two!

Plus, she's a fellow AE/BC shopper. We can chat non-stop about online shopping! (:

The girls! Didn't manage to grab an individual shot with Betty, but she won the title of the best dressed female! Spot her pair of cute wings behind!

There was a lucky draw as well at the end of the dinner, and it was almost like a sure-win lucky draw since there were 100 prizes, and about 150 staff present that day?

I won the 57th prize - a foldable bike, which I totally have no use for it since I can't cycle for nuts! The last time I tried to cycle was eons of years ago, and in the process of doing so, I ran my bike over someone's white adidas shoe! I'm gonna sell the bike for extra cash!

That aside, had stock-taking at DKSH today and was able to end work earlier! Took bus 30 home, and even though it was a very long ride, the journey really reminded me of those happy days at NUS! (:

Dinner Date with Fel!

A quick update before I drift off to zzz land!

And the xyz@#! thing is that it's Monday again tomorrow! Saw this facebook group called 'Why is Monday so far away from Friday, and Friday so bloody close to Monday' and I can't agree how apt this is, or at least how I feel every week.

Anyway, enough of my weekly ranting! Met Fel for dinner at Raffles City weeks back. Fel intro-ed me to this place called The Hand Burger.

Can't really remember, but think I ordered the pulled pork burger whereas Fel had steak. Each set is served with a choice of either straight cut fries or chilled stuff tomato.

Here's mine! Seriously, we couldn't really taste the pork though, tasted much much more like duck meat instead!

And here's Fel's chilled stuffed tomato which I thought was pretty yummy and a innovative dish! Salad stuffed inside the tomato!

The food was pretty good I guess, considering the amount that we paid for. Anyway, we decided we were not very bloated after dinner, and went for round two!

And I would highly recommend this place that Fel introduced! Fruit Paradise at Raffles City basement level. The tarts are super yummy! Not sure about the main course since we didn't try that, but the tarts are really fantastic! (:

We ordered a blueberry tart and tea for sharing, and I must keep raving that the blueberry tart is really yummlicious! Can't wait to try the other flavours next time!

Did some last minute Christmas shopping before we left for home. And whilst queuing up at the cab stand, out came my Canon baby! (:

Needless to say, had heap of fun and good catching up session with this fun girlfriend of mine! (:

Anyway, am glad that Mashimaro and I finally settled on our wedding banquet venue! Counting down 11 months, 1 week and 2 days more to our BIG day!

Hai Tien Lo @ Pan Pacific!

Just a quick update before I hit the bed like real soon! This week feels awfully long, after so many less-than-5-workdays weeks during December. Thank god it's finally approaching Friday soon, though I have a meeting at 5pm tomorrow. Sigh!

Anyway, back to my post. Time for some self indulgence and pampering after getting my first pay check from CPL during November!

Opted for a gastronomy treat at Hai Tien Lo. Hai Tien Lo is located on the 37th floor of Pan Pacific Hotel, and I love taking the elevator up because the view is simply splendid! (:

Needless to say, the view from the restaurant itself was great! Really reminded me of my dining experience at Equinox. Too bad no fireworks this time round.

The walnuts with sesame is super yummlicious and addictive! Can't stop eating them! Which just reminded me that I totally can't bite now because of my braces. Zzzzz! Have to keep telling myself that I'll just have to bear with it for 5 months, and serve me right for not wearing my retainers dutifully every night! ):

Next up, pictures of the food that we ordered, and in short, every dish was delicious! Mashimaro and I took the set dinner each, but ordered an extra Pekking Duck because that was one of the highly recommended dish!

I super love the yummy duck skin. It still makes me hungry now thinking about it.

And this has to be one of the yummiest sharks fin soup I've ever eaten! It's not too watery nor starchy and gluey, and they are really generous with the crab meat. Plus, there's a mini abalone too!

Can't really remembered what exactly this was, but think it's soft shell crab with some salad thingy. The soft shell crab was super crispy!

And finally, the main course, beef! Even though I'm not really a fan of beef, but the meat is really tender, and the sauce was great! Thumbs up!

Was super bloated by then, but there's still fried rice! Mashimaro helped me with most of it though. Hee!

But I still had room for desserts! Yummy mango pudding! I think with my limited vocabulary, I ran out of words to describe the food. Everything is just yummy to me in short.

Sidetrack abit, we went ballroom hunting, and popped by Pan Pacific yesterday for a visit. The Pacific Ballroom is nice, but it has a minimum requirement of 50 tables, and after adding in taxes and surcharges, it's pretty expensive!

But, food served will be from Hai Tien Lo, and the bridal suite is damn, damn, damn gorgeous! I should seriously consider modeling our future home after their bridal suite.

Anyway, we'll have to come to a conclusion on our banquet venue pretty soon before everything gets snapped up! And I guess Mashimaro and I have decided on that hotel more or less! (:

A truly satisfying, not to mention heavy on the pockets meal! We can only do such self indulgence once in a blue moon!

I'm so looking forward to Chinese New Year because it means more holidays. pigging out, plenty of steamboat sessions, red packets (my last year!), sleeping late and BBQ pork meat! (:

First Post for 2010!

It's the start of a brand new year again! Time always seems to fly faster when you get older. Looking back, 2009 has been a rather peaceful but satisfying year for me, and I think I'm gonna to miss it.

Changed job again, and though I still miss my colleagues at KC terribly, I'm grateful to get a permanent position at CPL (keeping my fingers crossed for now as I'm still under probation!). Awfully busy most of the time, but at least I'm kept occupied and I'm really learning something new every time.

Surprisingly I didn't venture out of Singapore (save for Sentosa) last year, but I'm looking forward to the trips planned for 2010, and hopefully our honeymoon during the year end!

3rd uncle left us this year, and till now, the image at the crematorium is still firmly embedded in my mind. I just hope that all my loved ones will stay happy, healthy and strong always!

But I guess the most eventful day of 2009 was 19th December! Mashimaro & I finally tied the knot with blessings from our relatives and friends! (:

A marriage is definitely not easy to maintain, and it really requires lots of hard work from both parties. But Mashimaro and I are going to put in our best effort and abide by the vows that we made. I'm going to cherish my fluffy rabbit more, lose my temper less, and love him even more! 2010's going to be an eventful year for us, and hopefully, we can get a place of our own soon, and have a smooth preparation for our wedding dinner!

That aside, some pictures of our solemnization that I grabbed off from facebook. I'm too lazy (not to mention sleepy after popping a tablet!) so there's only five pictures!

This is super tak-glam and I totally look like a siao char bo here, grinning so widely like a Cheshire cat. But if only every day in 2010 is a happy day like that.

Jian & Layhong's Happy Occasion!

Finally have time to sit down to do a proper update! Was awfully busy with our ROM preparations last last week, and after that was the socially busy Christmas period!

Anyway, this blog entry is specially dedicated for Jian & Layhong's very special day! (:

A brief introduction on the lovely couple. Jian & Layhong have been together since Sec 3 if I didn't remember wrongly (more than 10 years of patoring!) and it's really high time that they tie the knot! And so, the romantic boyfriend planned a lovely surprise proposal! (:

Venue was at Hort Park, and it was the sua-ku me first time there!

Jian collected the flowers and passed to Mashimaro for safekeeping. 14 red roses with a super big crystal in the middle. If only it was a real diamond instead!

Whilst waiting for the rest to walk in, Mashimaro started blowing the balloons first because we were so afraid we're behind time!

I still remembered that day was the start of my 'Little Miss Tootsy' day! You can laugh all you want at my new geeky image!

We hid somewhere where Layhong can't spot us and started our preparations. Jian's plans was to blow the balloons up with light sticks inserted, and paste the alphabet cutouts on them.

But this seemingly easy task proved to be pretty challenging for us because the balloons keep bursting! Have to hold it up real upright else it just keeps bursting one after another! Michelle even had to re-cut one of the alphabets because the balloon burst and the cutout tore! ):

But, we still managed to make it somehow! And the effect is really nice! The yellow balloons ain't that visible on pictures, but you can definitely can see in real life!

PS: I took the 'R' balloon because Ryan starts with 'R'! Haha! ^^

We still had some time to kill whilst waiting, and started taking pictures for entertainment!

You can tell that Scrabble's not exactly our favourite game!

Anyway, at another corner of Hort Park, Jian was showing Layhong a video that he specially made for her. He sneaked over to find us to collect his proposal ring and flowers.

And gosh, he was really super duper nervous that night man! Couldn't keep still and keep walking up and down and up and down!

I love these paparazzi inspired shots! Doesn't Jian feels like he's a superstar?

Whilst Layhong was still very engrossed in the video, we sneaked up behind her and surprised her! Before we reached, she was already super touched by the video that she was tearing! It was tears of joy obviously! (:

Congratulations! Am really very, very happy for this sweet couple! And Layhong and I will officially be sisters-in-laws now! Lol! (:

Jian was in an exceptionally good mood and he took tonnes of pictures of him and Layhong! It was his big day afterall! ^^

Headed to Villa Bali for dinner next. Indo/Thai food is not really my cup of tea, but I must admit, the food there was great. Yummy! Great ambiance too, except for two fat irritating toads which kept croaking disgustingly away throughout the entire dinner.

After dinner, the few of us headed over to Liang Court Party World next for KTV!

To sum this entry up, a big CONGRATULATIONS to the sweet couple! (:

And I'm my last half day morning leave of the year tomorrow! Used up my pro-rated leave entirely for the year, and this is even before I'm a confirmed staff. Shite.

Making a trip down to the dental tomorrow to put back my braces! Blame it on the lazy me who refused to put retainers after removing my braces a few years back, and now my teeth have shifted! Initially I was quite insistent on invisible braces, but Dr Tan advised me against it, and after the 50% discount that he's offering for ex-patients, it still costs a whooping $5000!

And the other option is to put the traditional braces, ugly, but it only costs $800. Not hard to guess which option I chose. But guess it's only going to be 5 months, I can live with it, and save the extra $4200.

Plus now that I'm wearing glasses to work because of my dry eyes, it's really gonna be the ultimate geeky combination man! I can't wait for the 5 months to fly and May to come faster! And this time round, I must really force myself to wear retainers like every night.

Am so looking forward to the long weekend to wake up late everyday!

Our Wedding Dolls & Ang Bao Box!

Just a short update before I crash! Gosh, I seriously need to sleep soon! Yesterday's steamboat and overnight mahjong till 7am has left me super zombiefied!

Anyway, back to my entry proper, collected our couple dolls from Jullie a week before our solemnization, and here's the final product!

Super, super, super cute! I'm really pleased with the results from this talented lovely lady! (:

Coincidentally, mine has a matching purple sash, same as my ROM dress, which I didn't told Jullie about it! I really love the flowers on the doll's head!

Mashimaro's one is holding on to a pink heart which has our solemnization dates sewed onto it!

And here's the 'rehearsal' for our table arrangement. Our couple dolls backed by candle cups (they can't stand very well on their own!) with the ring pillow!

Can't help but keep laughing at Mashimaro because his doll has a helmet/mushroom head, plus the fact that it can't stand properly because of its big head! Super cute!

But I really love the final product! Thank you Jullie! (:

Moving on to our ang bao box, it was such a last minute decision to make one and we only started making it the day before! Grabbed our raw materials from A N' BC, Daiso and Paper Mart. Btw, I totally adore Paper Mart! They have heaps of pretty art supplies, I think it's going to be on my favourite shops list!

The first step was to cut a hole, and the cover was so damn thick, I think I must have run my penknife over like a million times before I finally managed to cut through.

Next step was to paste the blingblings to camouflage the ugly cuts, and then paste the purple ribbon, followed by the white ribbon on top!

Drilled another small hole to poke the stalks of white roses through.

Paste the purple and white ribbons around the entire box and we're finally done! It's not super nice and elaborated like some of those that I've seen from the web, but I guess it's ok and 'close one eye can lar' for a noob like me and the last minute rush!

Time check: 2am! I needa sleep now and recharge for my packed weekends tomorrow!

Shall blog about our solemnization after I get all the pictures from everywhere! That aside, I'm really very grateful for all the well wishes, be it via sms, msn, facebook or even verbally! Thank you guys! (:

19/12/2009 - Legally Married! (:

19/12/2009's definitely a very, very, very special date to remember, because Mashimaro and I finally tied the knot!

A big thank you for all to all the relatives and friends who took time off to attend our solemnization ceremony yesterday with their wonderful blessings, as well as friends like Wei Zhong, Lydia, Clinton, Charmayne, Shirly, Lay Hong, Jian2, Wendy, Zhiwen and all others who helped out a great deal with the ceremony!

And to those whom we didn't manage to invite because of constrains, but would definitely love to have you guys around during our banquet, a big thank you for your well wishes! (:

One Day To Our Big Day!

It's just 1 more day to our big day! 14 hours to be exact!

And I seriously think I'll have problem falling asleep tonight. Can't help but keep thinking and being paranoid that I've forgotten something in the checklist.

Looking back, we've been together for 4 years, 4 months and still counting! 4 years isn't a very, very long time, but it's definitely not a short time either. Still remember the first time we spoke, the first time we met, the first time you held my hand, the first time you gave me a hug! And so much more of all these little precious memories that are kept deep within my heart.

Mashimaro, I just wanted to say a big thank you for everything. For loving me whole-heartedly and unconditionally for who I am, taking good care of me, showering me with never-ending love and care and standing by me in times of need. I know you'll always be there for me.

I love the way you smile, love to hold hand or grab your arm, love the way you put your hand protectively around me, love pinching and kissing your cheeks and insisting that you have chubby cheeks though you always give me the DUH face, love to hug you and irritate you by clinging on to you like a koola bear, love to snuggle beside you, love watching you fall asleep on my lap, and there's so much more that I love about you that I simply can't pen down everything in words.

I really can't imagine life without you, and as we embark on a new chapter of our life together, I promise to love and cherish you always, and hold your hand till we're both old and wrinkly!

Our Wedding Favors!

Had a hard time deciding on our wedding favors because we were spoilt for choices! Managed to narrow down our choices to a few eventually because some had MOQ in hundreds, whereas other super petty ones cost like five bucks per piece!

Eventually settled for the mini cups and ordered them from Golden Happiness!

Opted for the purple organza bags to match the colour of my dress! (:

We felt that the mini cup was abit too plain and empty on its own, so we printed mini thank you cards for a personalized touch.

Rolled up these thank you cards into mini scrolls. I did the ones with golden ribbons! Don't be surprised, but Mashimaro can really do art! He tied all the red colored ones!

Put the scroll together with the mini cup into the organza bag, and we're done with the final product! (:

And I'm pleased to announced that we've finally managed to complete and pack all 88 wedding favors this week! The super sweet Mummy dearest specially bought a bag for me to put all these wedding favors in! (:

It's really something very small, and impractical to most, but hope our guests will like this little gift that we've prepared for them! ^^

Date check: 17 December 2009. Gosh, 2 more days to go! Can't wait actually!

Thank goodness that I managed to apply for leave for the next 2 days. There's still lots to be settled, and I can't help but keep feeling that I've missed something out!

Lynette's Surprise Party @ Scarlet Hotel!

Haven't been doing a proper update for quite some time. Guess I'm getting lazier and lazier to blog. Plus, at the rate that the pictures in my cammie are piling up, I might well be backdating my entries to zillions months ago!

Anyway, back to the blog post proper, it was Lynette's 26th birthday last month! Mark booked a room at Scarlet Hotel for her surprise birthday party!

Reached wayyy earlier than the birthday girl to help with the surprise party! Decorated the room with these pretty balloons! Actually, the guys were mainly the ones doing the work. Oops!

Mark bought Disney party hats for all of us, and the 'birthday girl' sash for Lynette!

Self entertained whilst waiting for the arrival of the birthday girl!

After being in standby mode and talking in total darkness, the birthday girl finally arrived! Guess it was really a successful surprise from the look on her face! (:

Settled for dinner at Noble House at UIC Building since it was around the vicinity. If I didn't remember wrongly, the ala carte buffet only costs around $32.80++ and the buffet variety is really great! We over-ordered and was super duper damn bloated by the end of the dinner.

It's one week more to pay day and I'm feeling pretty broke! ):

The trip to Eagle Eye Centre saw me waving goodbye to $$$ again! And whilst everyone at office is happily counting their variable bonus and talking about their new Chanel/Prada/iPhone plans, I'm not entitled to any since I'm still on probation! Bummer. Guess I'll have to wait till next year then, that is if I'm still around.

On a sidenote, something to be happy about, the trip to Di Gio yesterday put a smile onto my face. I love my ROM dress! Thank you Sandy, Casey and all the seamstresses, though I don't know who you are!

My ROM Shoes!

Finally bought my ROM shoes from Anna Nucci last weekend! ^^

Initially, wanted to drop by Leapin' Lizard to take a look, but read reviews from Flowerpod/Cozycot that the shoes there are freaking expensive, so decided to give it a miss! Anyway, I don't really want to spend so much on a pair of heels that I'll probably just wear for a day.

Anna Nucci has a few pair of super bling heels, but personally, the price was abit too steep for me, so I settled for this simple pair in the end! (:

And gosh, it's just 2 weeks more to go!

LBY & ZWLW Birthday Celebration @ Dallas!

A super belated birthday celebration for the busy birthday girls! Had lunch at Dallas Restaurant & Bar along Boat Quay. The place was awfully quiet and think we were the only diners there?

Most of us took their set meals, and came to the conclusion that the food's not fantastic at all, despite getting a rating of 7.6 on Hungrygowhere! Or maybe it's us who ordered the wrong choice of food.

The dallas platter was possibly the best out of the rest! Yummy chicken wings and salt and pepper calamari!

Can't really remember, but I think this was Joling's roasted chicken and penne pasta. It tastes pretty weird to me though.

LBY's roasted crispy chicken which was too dry.

GT's ribs ended up to be the best amongst the mains!

Ah Zhong and I shared the BBQ barramundi and snapper. ZWL hated the snapper because it had a very strong fishy taste!

And finally, CAM's indian platter, the 'roti-prata'!

And finally, presenting the two very lovely and pretty October babies! Happy birthday once again to my two dearest ladies! May the year ahead be a smooth and fabulous one for you both! ^^

Took a few group pictures before Cecilia and Ben left for their date whereas LBY and GT went back to work again!

Guess we wouldn't be going back to Dallas in the near future, or maybe we should just opt for their desserts instead! But then again, food taste is really very subjective, and guess that the food there is not really to our liking.

Teo Heng KTV + Waraku!

After Mashimaro's monthly haircut at Novena Square on a random Saturday, headed to Teo Heng for our once in a blue moon KTV session! I trimmed my fringe too but think I ended up looking like a mushroom head more. Hurhur.

Haven't stepped into the new rooms ever since its renovation!

We were at room 10, and guess who was at room 11?

Minx and Steve! Talk about coincidences man! (: Mashimaro was the first to spot Steve, and both of us actually booked KTV for the same time slot!

Headed off to dinner at Waraku together after that. I especially love the potato mentai and enoki mushrooms wrapped with bacon from Waraku. They are definitely on my die-die must eat list every time!

If you're wondering why I'm blogging on a Thursday afternoon, you would have probably guess it correct. I'm on medical leave today! Had yummy fishball noodles at Chinatown yesterday and been having runs after lunch. Nothing new, since it's me and my weak stomach again! I can eat exactly the same thing as my colleagues, and be the only one getting sick after that! ):

Off to get a good rest and it's time to repay my accumulated sleep debts!

And oh by the way, I'm starting to love drinking InnerShine Berry Essence more and more. And hopefully, it'll start showing effects and 'add brightness to my eyes' as so it says!

It was my dearest gf's birthday celebration! Sick of always doing western, and birthday girl opted for chinese food instead!

Finally decided on dim sum at Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant at Carlton Hotel!

As expected, food was great, but I think I still love Royal China more!

Anyway, Zhiwen and I got the birthday girl a pretty and yummy cake from Obolo! Their cakes are really delicious! Especially this chocolate mousse cake!

One year older, one year wiser! You never know how thankful I am to have a friend like you, one whom I can always talk/confide/crap/complain/bitch/whine with! And most importantly, may all the best things in life be with you always. And I hope that your prince charming will come by very soon and sweep you off your feet! Okay guys, I've just given you a big hint that this very eligible lady is still available!

I'm finally done with my cross stitch since I started on it close to 2 months back! Yipee! (:

Now all I have to do is to soak it in vinegar and cleanse it, and find a proper cushion to fill it in! (:

P/S: MacDonald's Shaker Fries are BACK AGAIN! Betty and I finished 2.5 packs of large fries this afternoon. Potatoes overload!

Berrie's 25th Birthday Celebration!

Met up with Mashimaro's NUS clique last month to celebrate Berrie's birthday! Had buffet lunch at Park Royal On Beach Road, all photos courtesy from Ping2's Canon baby!

We almost hit full attendance that day! Food variety and selection was pretty okay, but considering we paid less than 20 bucks per pax, it was pretty much very worth it! Really gotta thank James for the big discount.

I'm never a fan of salad though. Still prefer my veggies to be cooked! Lol! (:

The soft shell crab was pretty good! Super crispy and I just love adding tonnes of mayo to it!

The prata was very yummy too! Had other flavors in addition to the standard ones! Chocolate, banana, durian! I think 90% of Berrie's meal was prata.

And this has to be my favorite dish out of the whole lot. Drunken prawn soup! The taste wasn't too herbal but still yummy. Thumbs up!

I was pretty much bloated towards the end that I didn't eat much desserts except the chocolate fondue with tonnes of my all time favorite marshmellows! (:

Cammie time! Mashimaro was the only guy that day because his best friend was overseas!

After lunch activity was KTV at Top One KTV! My first time there actually, and it was pretty okay I guess, except that their drinks were super diluted.

Candice left early, but Hui Shi came to join us! Drew lots for this year's Secret Santa as well. Christmas is coming real soon! Yipee!

Mashimaro and I left after KTV, but I had a fulfilling Saturday! Till the next meetup then! (:

That aside, I've finally survived my first month at work! Nothing but busy, busy, and busy with tonnes of events taking place back to back. Like what Jolene said, I really came in at the wrong time! Unlike KC, going home at 5.30pm is really mission impossible. And I really miss Chris badly, her infectious laughter and all the jokes! ):

Plus, it really seems like it's a series of unfortunate events after I started this job.

I don't know if it's the air-conditioning, or the dust from the road works that's forever going on, or the extended hours of looking at the computer, but doctor say that my eyes have tonnes of dry spots possible from a recent viral infection and I'm banned from contacts for a month! Which explains why I'm now a geeky 4 eye toady! ):

Anyway, I'm not really complaining about my job though! Still thankful for the fact that I managed to get a job, and I'm now working under Jojo! Time passes really fast here, and sometimes, I do feel a sense of fulfillment upon completion of a project/event! Not to mention the fact that I really, really look forward to payday each month! Plus, at least I feel that I'm learning something new everyday and not wasting my life away! (:

And I finally decided on doing that something after my ROM. Have to keep telling myself, it's only gonna be 5 months, I can live with it for that 5 months. And I'm definitely looking forward to the end result!

Finally done with our ROM invitation cards! Yipee! One thing down from the super long preparation checklist! Had a hard time deciding on the design, but finally decided on something really simple that was easier to make!

And the next big question now is to pass the invites to all my friends!

Meanwhile, it's back to MASSIVE Sunday blues. I foresee a super busy and challenging week ahead, and my Friday is totally gone! Not to mention the fact that I'll have to work during the long weekend that I was so looking forward to! ):

Weekend Date At Ice Dream Land!

Whilst googling for more information on Di Gio Bridal a few weeks back, came across this super cute ice cream parlor from a bride-to-be's blog!

And I dragged Mashimaro to go along with me on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Presenting Ice Dream Land, the fairytale cafe!

Even though 31st October was at least 2 weeks away, the cafe was already all dressed up for Halloween! But their decorations was more cute than spooky though.

Loved the mango ice-blended smoothie! Super light and refreshing! The ice-cream was pretty average though, nothing much to rave about.

Anyway, the main reason why I was so keen to visit the cafe was because I wanted to check out its unique decor! There's 5 different seating areas in this fairytale themed cafe.

The 'garden' seating has a swing that can really move! It's definitely my favorite seating spot among all!

The 'carriage' area is really super pretty and princessy! Too bad I didn't get a chance to sit there as it was occupied when we reached.

Had time to kill before dinner and we did something that we didn't do for a very, very long time! I totally adore playing on swings when I was a kid!

Love each and every of my weekend date with my fluffy rabbit! Speaking of which, it's 1 month 7 days more to our solemnization, and gosh, there's still so much more yet to be settled!

Happy 26th Birthday Elaine!

I'm really getting lazier and lazier to blog with each passing day! Time never seems to be enough cause I seem to have a zillion stuff to do, be it work or personal! ):

Back to my blog post proper, Elaine's birthday celebration at Chong Qing Hot Pot @ Suntec last month, as requested by the birthday girl! Celebrated her birthday at the same restaurant last year, just that it was the Tanglin branch instead.

It was my second time there, the food was as nice as usual, but didn't really eat alot except tonnes of enoki mushrooms, my all time favourite! It's a must have for any steamboat sessions!

I'm so looking forward to the weekend to get a proper rest! Waking up at 6 plus everyday is really xyz!!@# man!

It's been close to 2 weeks of working, and I need to invest in a pair of not-so-geeky-looking spectacles, tonnes of eye drops, loads of eyes masks/serum, moisturizing face masks, hair serum, pretty but nice to walk in shoes with super good friction and the list just go on and on! Payday please come faster please!

Finally able to reach home early for a change as I left earlier for my medical checkup. Guess it's really high time to do it before HR comes screaming at me! And it's back to Thursday blues again tomorrow! ):

Halloween Horrors @ Night Safari!

Had a hard time contemplating whether should we go for the Halloween Horrors @ Night Safari because I was so afraid that I'll be awfully spooked out!

But we still went ahead eventually, and it was our first trip to Night Safari! (:

Grabbed a quick bite at Bongo Burgers. Wouldn't have ate there if we had other choices, cause the food is freaking expensive, so typical of all these tourist attractions!

Night Safari was fully dressed up for Halloween!

I was so paranoid that someone would jump at us suddenly that I kept looking around non-stop whilst queuing for tickets.

And here's the famous dim sum lady! Gosh, I really pity the staff who's hiding inside the trolley! Imagine being squashed up in such an enclosed area for hours!

Random photo taking with more of them! The woman in red was carrying a head, and she's definitely one of the spookiest one that night. Their makeup and props were all very professionally done!

We finally went in! By the way, the fire performance outside was really awesome! (:

We took the tram ride which had additional 15 minutes of Halloween special. Kudos to the tram guide for the special spooky effects and animated voice over!

Anyway, the first part of the ride was the typical introduction to all the nocturnal animals. No flash photography was allowed, and thus no pictures. But sometimes, it was so dark I can barely even see the animals!

And the last 15 minutes was the spooky part! Thankfully we sat in the middle of the tram, so we were pre-warned with all the screams, shrieks or even laughter! And here are some random pictures!

This year's theme was fairytale, and here's beauty from beauty and the beast!

I thought this was rather creepy!

Found this rather disturbing though. Little mermaid was hacked into many pieces and she kept screaming 'save me' throughout!

Caught the last animal show at 10.30pm after the ride, and we didn't have time to cross the 'Bridge of No Return'. No complains from me, because I wasn't the least keen on the idea of having someone jump at me suddenly in the dark. Think I'll probably have a panic attack even before I cross the bridge.

That aside, the animal show was abit disappointing. Maybe because it was the last show and the animals were pretty worn out?

It was pretty fun, really a different experience, but doubt I'll go back to Night Safari again. Guess it's another of those places that you wouldn't really go a second time.

ROM Invitation Card Draft One!

Mashimaro and I visited some art and craft stores at Bras Basah last Sunday, and we bought a few fancy papers to test out the printing for our invitation cards!

And here's the first draft! Will be trying out different cutting and layout again this weekend. Guess we'll have to keep to something really simple due to time constraints!

Anyway, it's only Wednesday and I'm starting to feel pretty tired and spaced out. Have been resting for too long, and too accustomed to a too cozy life in KC!

And for some reason, I'm on urgent leave today, and it's supposedly only my 4th day, not to mention the fact that I'm still under probation. Guess I'll have more explaining to do to HR tomorrow morning.

Weekends are starting to get uber precious to me now that I've started work again! ):

Friday was my first day of work, and I foresee much difficulty in waking up early for the next few months! That aside, the walk from the train station to my office is pretty far, and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually got lost after exiting from the train station despite studying streetdirectory.com thoroughly the day before.

Anyway, it's still too early to say anything much, shall see how as things go along. Praying hard that I'll adapt well and learn the ropes real soon!

OMG I Love Their Dim Sums!

Met up with my dearest 2nd row after sooooooo many months of hiatus! Wei Zhong recommended this fabulous restaurant, Royal China at Raffles Hotel!

The place looks damn atas, but surprisingly, the price is not very atas! The interior of the restaurant looks very posh and welcoming! And their dim sum totally rocks man! Highly, highly recommended! Every dish is simply oh-so-yummy! (:

But please remember to make reservations in advance because the place really seems pretty popular!

Juju Hokkaido Hot Pot @ Po Mo!

Juju Hokkaido Hot Pot @ Po Mo!

Mashimaro brought me to my first meal at Juju Hokkaido Hot Pot at Po Mo, formerly known as Paradiz Centre!

Went for the bridal fair at Iluma before that, and it was pretty disappointing. There were very few bridal shops and this super pushy and irritating bridal shop totally pissed us off to the max!

Off to Juju Hokkaido Hot Pot! Thankfully we managed to get a table despite not making any reservations! Took the 7 course dinner set meal at $29.80++.

Even though I'm a fan of hard boiled eggs, I must admit that their semi boiled egg with the special sauce is super duper yummy!

I didn't really like the rainbow dumplings though, felt that the flour was abit too thick!

I ordered pork slices, and as usual, Mashimaro had beef. It's so predictable what the fluffy rabbit is going to order! (:

The pork slices were really very yummy! Tender and tasty! But their serving is pretty huge and both of us were struggling to finish our food!

And they serve those 'candlestick' biscuits, exactly the same as Dozo! Not the least surprising though, since Juju, Dozo and Tao's are all under the same group.

The ice plum vinegar is really very niceeeeeee!

Desserts were the last course! Mashimaro's honeydew frost was good, but my red bean mua chi were pretty mediocre. Wrong choice of desserts! ):

Us the satisfied diners! *Burps!* Definitely wouldn't mind going back there again, and I'm so keen to try out Tao's as well someday! (:

On a sidenote, my close to 2 months 'holiday' has come to an end! No more sleeping or waking up late and lazing around the house doing nothing! Couch potato days has officially ended! ):

But I guess it's really high time to pick up the momentum and start working again, and I've definitely rested more than enough! (:

Baked At Botanic Garden!

July Bro came back from Aussie and we decided to do something different for a change this time round! Picnic at Botanic Garden! (:

We hogged the pavilion just in case it might rain later, but well, it was extremely bright and sunny, not to mention freaking hot that day! Felt so super duper baked and roasted by the end of the day!

And the food that we brought along! Yummy snow skin mooncakes, sushi, Subway sandwiches, egg tarts, chips and Pari Pari! (:

Played poker cards, though I must admit, I don't really know how to play the so-popular daidee! But guess I've found my match since apparently Liang Zhi Wen don't know how to play Uno! Lol! Mahjong over poker anytime for me!

Cinderella with a bloody shoe stuck on her forehead! The makeup and props of all the actors/actress are very professionally done!

Of course, Cinderella was perhaps one of the 'nicest' and least scary cast that night. There's this woman in red carrying a head who really creeps me out! Asked her for a picture and she suddenly started walking real close and stared straight at me in the eye for quite some time! But that aside, I can't help noticing that she has real nice features and I think she'll be quite a beauty after washing off the horrendous makeup!

Mashimaro's a size 19 and I'm a size 7 and 1/2! What a big difference! Anyway, we are pretty pleased with the final results!

Mashimaro love the matt black portion of his ring because it gives off a more rugged feeling. Anyway, I insisted on having a little diamond in the middle of his ring to match mine! As for mine, guess I really love the little sparkling diamonds! (:

Army Open House 2009!

Mashimaro brought me along to PLC for the Army Open House 2009. The place was bustling with people! There were loads of activities going on, though the weather wasn't really the least cooperative that day.

It was freaking HOT! And I was super grouchy just after 15 minutes because I was so sweaty and sticky!

Caught a show which I totally don't understand what it was about, walked around just a teeny weeny bit and forced Mashimaro to hop onto the shuttle bus to the comfort of the air-conditioned Army Museum at Singapore Discovery Centre!

It was so much, much, much more cooling there!

And that's how bunks used to look like a long time ago! The light and fan switches are super duper old school man, reminded me of AHS! (:

Love the mini lake there! Very peaceful and tranquil. If only we could do a picnic there instead! But afterall, I guess it's still one of those places that you wouldn't go a second time, not in the near future!

Time Check: 2 months, 2 weeks and 1 day more to go to our Solemnization! (:

But still, there's lots more to be done!

What have we settled: Solemnization venue, JP, bridal and wedding bands!

What needs to be settled (I have a feeling this list is really going to be very long! ): Room decor & flowers, source for invitations & wedding favors, photography, wedding vows, coordinators, script & run through with MCs, finalize guest list, photography, ROM dress & shoes, Mashimaro's suit, music, programme flow and loads more that I can't think of now! ):

On a side note, Mashimaro and I had our first trip to Night Safari yesterday for the Halloween Horrors, and it was absolutely wicked! Guess Mashimaro had lots of fun laughing instead of getting spooked out.

And I'm feeling so lazy looking at my pile of overdue pictures! Will update again soon!

Forty Nine @ Riders Cafe!

Celebrated our 49th month at this new cafe that I was dying to visit! Riders Cafe located at Fairways Drive!

Riders is at Bukit Timah Saddle Club and I really dig this place! Super peaceful and tranquil, and you have a great view of horses and the surrounding lush greenery! For a teeny weeny bit moment, I forgot that I'm in Singapore! (:

Perfect place to be in for lazy afternoons!

Thankfully we managed to a seat despite not making reservations beforehand. The place was really packed, and people just kept streaming in!

And I definitely gotta rave about their breakfast sets! Mashimaro had the Riders breakfast set and my eggs omelettte was super duper yummy!

P/S: Zhong, better than PS Cafe and Marmalade Pantry in my opinion!

And even yummier buffalo wingers, though abit too spicy for me! ):

It's really nice to be surrounded by greenery and horses instead of buildings for a change. But after a while, when it stopped raining, the smell of horses grew pretty strong!

I'm so gonna come back here again soon!

And lastly, of course, happy 49th monthversary Mashimaro! Love my fluffy rabbit the mostest (even though you make all sorts of funny faces and refuses to take decent pictures with me)!

Last Day With KC!

28 August was my last day with KC!

I pretty much enjoyed working at KC. Super nice boss, nice colleagues and not to mention, convenient work location! Though the job scope can get really boring at times, especially when everything is just numbers, numbers and more numbers, but still, I really enjoyed my 9 months there! (:

And I'm totally missing the fun lunch breaks and good food!

Buffetsssssss Overdose!

Had good food for consecutively 3 days that week! First was Friday's birthday dinner with Mashimaro, followed by buffet tea/lunch for the next 2 days! (:

Bee was back in town again that week, and we headed over to Ellenborough Market Cafe at Swissotel Merchant Court.

The buffet spread is really pretty good! They serve stuff like chili crab, black pepper crayfish, roast duck, hainanese chicken rice, salmon, sushi, sharks fin soup, durian, muah chee, and a super wide variety of desserts like bobo chacha, yam paste, black glutinous rice on top of the usual fruits and sweet pastries! Was really spoilt for choices! (:

I swear Juejue is damn fit for a kid! I was trying hard to balance and not topple over when he leaned against me. Haha! But I love this super duper cute kid! (:

Not to mention 'vain' too! He super love taking pictures whereas his older bro will just run off every time we ask him for a picture.

But this in turn translates to lots of money spending! Can't wait for 19 December! (:

Mashimaro's Twenty Six!

Celebrating my dearest fluffy rabbit's birthday together for the 5th year!

Brought forward the celebration a day earlier, since Mashimaro had to participate in the Army Half Marathon on Sunday. Think I'll die if I were the one who had to run 21km man! Can't remember when was the last time I exercise!

Brought Mashimaro for a nice dinner at Da Paolo at Cluny Court!

The restaurant is pretty small, but very peaceful and serene. Expecting a super packed Friday night, I actually called and made reservations but there were only like 2 other couples there?

Anyway, we were starting dinner when my mobile rang. And guess what? The waiter at the counter was calling to check if we will be reaching any time soon. Lol!

Mashimaro had chicken breast I think. But my spiny lobster pasta was good! Super generous portion, but all these sinful seafood gave me pretty serious skin allergies after that! ):

And the little surprise birthday cake! Not complimentary from the restaurant though. I only knew I was charged 10 bucks for the tiramisu cake when I checked the bill much later. Still, the expression on Mashimaro's face when he saw the cake was priceless! (:

Headed back home after that to pick Jian and sent him off to the airport. It was close to 1am after leaving the airport, and after having a huge discussion on our next destination, we decided to drop by Singapore Flyer for a change!

I love the pretty pretty lights!

And I discovered my newfound hobby, fish feeding! It's so cute when all the fishes start flocking over to your side with the lure of food! We spotted a few extremely violent and greedy ones!

Took some touristy pictures with the big Yakult Rainforest Discovery signage before leaving since I'm a such a huge fan of Yakult! (:

We were so freaking thirsty and a teeny bit hungry that we drove down to Xing Wang Hong Kong cafe for supper! Thankfully for extended operating hours!

And since it's the fluffy rabbit's 26th birthday this year, I made a scrapbook with 26 birthday wishes! The book cover was a tad too girly though, I could have done away with all those heart and butterfly stickers!

That aside, really appreciate everyone's help and contributions! Managed to give him the gift on time. Phew!

I super love the effect of printing on photo papers! Thankfully, my colour ink died on me only after I printed everything out!

Nonetheless, hope my dearest fluffy rabbit enjoyed his simple birthday celebration, and I'm looking forward to every celebration with you even when you're old and wrinkly! (:

And the long weekend starts tomorrow! Nothing much for me to be excited about, since it doesn't really makes much of a difference to me anyway. But am definitely looking forward to spending more time with Mashimaro! (:

Celebrations of Happy Occasions!

Starting to clear my ultra backdated entries, blogging about two happy occasions!

Clinton proposed to Charmayne, his then-girlfriend but now-fiancee, on the 3rd of August! Proposal was at this place called Screening Room, off The Ann Siang street. Pretty cool place! It has 5 storeys in total, with a restaurant, screening rooms and a rooftop bar!

Had to do merchandising for Luxe that day, busy running around Watsons and Guardian stores the entire day. Was super 'dust-ified' and hot and sweaty by the time I went over!

Anyway, back to the proposal, here's the male lead!

The plan was for us, including Charmayne's group of girlfriends to present a stalk of rose to Charmayne who was at the rooftop bar!

And after the 6th stalk, Clinton pops out with the lovely bouquet!

He made a speech too but it was sooooo noisy that we barely heard a thing! But guessing it's all the sweet nothings just for Charmayne! (:

And yes, finally kneeling down to propose! You can see all other diners clapping and cheering loudly in the background! And even louder cheers when Charmayne agrees!

Food was served after that, but it was so dark that we could barely make out what we were eating! We actually resorted to taking pictures of the food to see them more clearly. Haha! But well, the food taste good and I especially love those mini burgers!

Celebrated another of our beloved gang member birthday after checking out from our hotel on Sunday afternoon! It was lunch at Club Chinos.

No pictures of the food this time round because I was plain lazy and just wanted to eat, eat and eat! Food variety was great, though service was pretty slow, guess they were pretty understaffed? Anyway, shall let pictures do the talking!

Anyway, just some random ranting, my internet connection is finally not so crappy! My connection for the past few days was like ultimate xyz#@! Guess Ah Zhong can vouch for that.

Called up Singnet broadband, and after asking a few general questions, the customer service staff asked me to call Linksys. I asked if she could help me with some troubleshooting first to see if it's a faulty phoneline or modem fault or whatsoever, but she just brushed me off and ask me to call Linksys.

So I did, and the staff helped me troubleshoot all my router settings using every single way possible until he finally ask me to check back with Singnet as it could be a modem error.

And I was on the phone with him for two hours! Really xyz#@! man!

So I called back Singnet and I really pissed off by then! The first customer service staff who attended to me could have saved me alot of trouble if she had told me to check my wired connection first to see if it's a modem fault. And when the technician came down the next day and tested with a new modem, everything was ok. The second customer service staff and technician were so much nicer!

So I bought a new modem at Hello the next day, and had to wait an freaking hour for my turn even though the staff told me waiting time is only 30 minutes! Grrr! Even my super mild tempered Mummy got super impatient and grouchy!

I'm so contemplating to change to Starhub or M1 but neither is feasible because we just recontracted and the plan will last till July 2011. Plus, if we're switching to starhub, we'll have to start pulling cables in and the last time we checked, each house have to fork out about 2k?

But I guess the funniest thing was when Zhizhong saw my msn message that reads "My internet connection is crap!" and he msn me, asking me sign up with Singnet because they are having fabulous deals at Comex! Hahaha! I really had a good laugh over that!

That aside, I can't help but keep ranting why is the weather so hot and humid everyday? It's already September, approaching year end soon! ): Had a picnic at Botanic Garden over the weekend and I'm super duper baked!

Time for lunch, and looking forward to Agneselle's launch tonight! Finally something in 34"! (:

Forty Eight Chapter III!

Finally blogging about the final chapter of our anniversary celebration!

Back to our suite after dinner, and the sneaky Mashimaro prepared a really really huge surprise for me! No wonder he insisted on closing the bedroom doors before we left, and when I slided the doors open, I was greeted by this super duper uber pretty sight!

And, Mashimaro formally knelt down and proposed! Of course I agreed! Couldn't be happier! (:

Mashimaro's friends came earlier to help decorate the room while we were out for dinner. And they contributed many many ideas beforehand for the proposal as well! Really want to say a big thank you to all for the help the past few weeks!

My gang was present too! (: A big thank you to the babes for coming to share our joy! Missing out Cecilia because it was her special day! But unfortunately, my room number didn't strike 4D!

All of them left a while later after the proposal, and we really felt bad to make them come all the way down. So, here's another big thank you to all for gracing this happy occassion! (:

And of course, how could I resist not taking a zillion pictures of all these?

The effect is super niceeeee! Again, Mashimaro never fail to surprise me with his art skills. He painted the wooden alphabets pink and stick them on a board for suppport. And he added glitters to R and Y because they are the starting alphabets for our names!

The biggest and prettiest bouquet that I ever received! Thank you Mashimaro! 99 stalks of red and white roses! And it's damn heavy. Was pretty amused by the fact that the bouquet can actually stand on its own!

Anyway, we're still trying hard to preserve them into dry flowers but I guess we're not very successful in doing so! And the funny thing is, a few weeks earlier, we actually spotted mushrooms (YES, TWO super big, black and hideous mushrooms) growing among the flowers!

I loveeeeeeeee this super big balloon! And it's still pretty much intact, even after a month plus! And I super love the little red heart shaped balloons in it!

Anyway to cut things short, I super love entirely everything! ^^

Finally, my dearest fluffy rabbit and me! Thank you, Mashimaro for everything, and most importantly, for loving me and doting on me so, so much! ^^

Simply couldn't stop smiling the entire night! (:

Tonnes of balloons! The colour combination was uber pretty and I totally love it!

The very thoughtful friends decorated the bathtub with rose petals too!

Mashimaro and I spent the next 4 hours till 4am deflating all the 200 balloons one by one! I couldn't bear to burst them anyway! Shall find a nice heart shaped glass bottle to keep everything inside!

Woke up early the next day for breakfast and off to celebrate Cecilia's birthday at Club Chinos and Chloe's 1st Birthday at The Cathay! Super packed day and we were feeling so damn tired cause we barely slept!

I remembered we had a hard time lugging everything to the car after checking out though! Mashimaro still had to make 2 trips!

Simply want to say a big I-LOVE-YOU to my fluffy rabbit for everything!

That aside, we're busy preparing for our ROM in December, and I'll officially be Mrs Lye then! (:

Finally settled our wedding bands last week, and will have to confirm our ROM venue asap! Some places are uber nice, but we have to give them a miss definitely cause they are wayyyyyyy above our budget, considering we're planning to hold our banquet next year.

So much to do, but all's definitely worth it! (:

Feeling so lazy to even do a proper update!

Anyway, I'm pretty much enjoying my mini break, but I guess I should be more diligent in my job search. Money should be the biggest motivation to get a job soon!

And I want to rant about my connection! It's super duper frustrating and irritating! I was just thinking of switching to Starhub when I suddenly remembered that I just renewed my plan a few months ago. Shit.

And I'm trying to curb my online shopping itch! My last purchase was Agneselle's Embroidery Dress! Love the embroidery details! Seriously, online shopping is really addictive. And after a while, I find that some stuff sold in retail malls are just too expensive compared to blogshops!

And I'm addicted to Sophia Kinsella's Shopaholic series again. Her books just make a super duper nice read for lazy afternoons!

Think I shall go sleep now, and update about the final part of our anniversary celebration tomorrow. Goodnight world!

Forty Eight Chapter II!

It has been more than a week since I last updated, and the number of backdated entries just keeps piling up together with all the pictures! But I've lost the pictures from our actual anniversary celebration, together with those taken together with Starie Low & Auntie Chew at Molly's, not to mention all my songs! Bummer!

Anyway, back to my post, part 2 of our celebration was dinner at Equinox!

Was preparing to head out and I couldn't resist camwhoring in the bathroom with its pretty lightings! Mashimaro insisted that I change into something not so casual, and it's only when we reached Equinox, we saw that people were wearing jeans.

I totally dig this picture! Mashimaro's expression is classic because he looks so irritated! Should have added a thought bubble over his head that reads 'Are you done with taking pictures or not?' Haha! ^^

Finally reached Swissotel after walking through the horrible weekend crowd at Citylink and up we went!

The stunning view from up up and above! It gets much more prettier as the sky darkens!

Mashimaro paid extra 20 bucks per pax for the window seats! I don't know why, but the ceiling lights just reminds me of that at Oriole!

Food was yummy as usual, especially the crustacean bisque! Mashimaro took the 5 course meal, and I had seabass or grouper I think, can't really remember!

Finally getting slightly darker, and it's lights up!

Really thumbs up for their excellent service! The staff were very attentive and observant. I was just taking a picture of my fluffy rabbit as usual the staff walked over and volunteer to take a picture for us instead! Pity the one taken without flash ended up looking very fuzzy!

Simply awed by the uber beautiful night view!

Didn't bother taking pictures of the fireworks because I'll never be able to capture the pretty sights on camera! Anyway, I was probably too engrossed and going ooh-ing and aww-ing over the fireworks to take decent pictures!

It was hotel-sweet-hotel after that, with a big fat sweet romantic surprise waiting for me!

And as for that, I'll blog about it again when I'm not so lazy! And gosh, Atarax is making me super drowsy again. Night world!

Forty Eight Chapter I!

Finally blogging about my super sweet and memorable weekend with fluffy rabbit! Had our fourth anniversary celebration at Marina Mandarin this year!

Sneaky Mashimaro insisted on a special celebration this year, and instead of getting the standard room, he booked a suite for a change.

The service provided was really different! Check in was at the Meritus Club lounge on the 21st floor, and they even offered you seats and red date tea while waiting!

Got our keys, and off we went! These pictures doesn't seem to do justice, but the suite is pretty big and ultra comfy!

They provided complimentary fruits, pineapple tarts and Nespresso coffee capsules for making endless cups of yummy coffee! My ex-office at Coke used to have one too!

And I totally dig the bathroom! Clean, white, spacious, bath tub plus a shower fitted with hydrojet for good old therapeutic massages!

Awww! And the super comfy bed! Making me sleepy again now!

We didn't want to 'waste' the room, having paid much more it, and tabao-ed Subway from Marina Square back, before heading out for dinner at Equinox!

Anyway, that aside, it will be my last week at work next week. And shit. I find that I'm always unemployed at this time of the year without fail. Shall stop procastinating and go write my thank you cards for my colleagues now! (:

July Babies Birthday Celebration!

Had a belated birthday celebration together with the two other pretty July babies, Hui Shi and Florence at Liang Court Tampopo on the last week of July!

Resting at home again today even though I'm neither on leave nor medical. Went to office with a bandaged, swollen and extremely irritatingly itchy hand and my super nice boss chased me home to take medicine and sleep! Sigh. I'm really going to miss such a nice boss when I'm gone!

Mashimaro's Commencement Ceremony!

Finally attended fluffy rabbit's commencement ceremony last month, a good full seven months since his last paper! Congratulations Mashimaro!

Anyway, most, if not all of Mashimaro's friends have already graduated last year and poor fluffy rabbit had a 'lonely' commencement.

Was keeping my fingers crossed the day before that I would be able to attend the ceremony because I was feeling so sick and crampy, and it doesn't help that my face was still super swollen. But thankfully, I made it, despite looking like a pighead! Wouldn't want to miss Mashimaro's commencement out on anything!

Bumped into Zhiwei's sweet girlfriend, Samantha too! Saw a couple of other familar faces as well, but gosh, I feel so old standing there among the fresh graduates!

But I missed Jian's one the day before! ): But still, congratulations to the brothers!

Twenty Four With Mashimaro!

It's my fourth birthday celebration with my dearest Mashimaro! ^^ Started off with a yummy tiramisu cake from Bakerzin at 12am sharp on my actual birthday!

And out came my presents! I knew what was hiding inside the wrapping paper as soon as I saw the shape. It's the stuffed ele that I've been lemming for the longest time!

Plus, a super duper big card from Mashimaro! Don't be fooled by his appearance, Mashimaro can do art. Or at least, he really did put alot of effort into this! I really, really love receiving personalized gifts from Mashimaro!

Love you super duper deep deep my fluffy rabbit! As for my actual present, I still haven't made up my mind what to get yet. Hmm.. Ipod touch or DKNY watch?

Finally managed to have my favourite McGriddles that morning!

My toothache horrendously worsen by afternoon, plus poor fluffy rabbit had to rush out some work, I spent the afternoon drifting in and out of sleep after popping painkillers!

Eventually settled for a simple dinner at One Rochestor. And since we were pretty early, we took a walk around the place. It was my first time there actually!

Thankfully the weather was super cooling that day, else I'll totally dread dining outdoors!

Pretty nice place actually, quiet and peaceful! Minus the fact that there were ants and some creepy crawlies that gave me goosebumps and made me feel itchy all over.

The food was yummy too, especially love the cream of wild mushroom soup. Plus, the slipper lobster was one the of yummiest that I've ever eaten so far!

I really love the ambience of the place, especially when it grew darker at night! The lights and mini waterfalls are lovely!

A big thank you and hughug to my dearest fluffy rabbit for the memorable birthday celebration! But I totally love your company and presence be it a birthday celebration or just a simple day together! I heart you!

And I'm really looking forward to celebrating all my birthdays with you!
